Penrice retired (remembered as the last priest in the Diocese who was openly against the OoW.), as the current rector, though a former curate at S. James has led the parish considerably down in an attempt to survive, but it hasnt worked either... so they appear to be in some sort of partnership with a First Nations group to stay viable, but am unsure of how successful it will be. There are a couple of parishes with rather A-C rectors (my own at Holy Trinity, White Rock is former SSC) but are in moderate to high parishes (ie chasubles, stations, reserve, big six).Isaac Thorpenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703933675593092725.post-77649255366859955002010-02-02T10:03:35.981-05:002010-02-02T10:03:35.981-05:00Have you actually ever met or spoken at length wit...Have you actually ever met or spoken at length with BVM?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703933675593092725.post-90776115834049908262010-01-31T17:19:11.736-05:002010-01-31T17:19:11.736-05:00I should add, in all fairness, that the prayers fo...I should add, in all fairness, that the prayers for "our queen" at the Anglican cathedral jarred me more then they should have! The fact that the priest went through the liturgy in a sort of rapid mutter didn't help much either!Whit Johnstonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11446859577453868475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703933675593092725.post-43647444244988088052010-01-31T08:54:25.394-05:002010-01-31T08:54:25.394-05:00The Rt Revd Victoria Matthews, sometime Bishop of ...The Rt Revd Victoria Matthews, sometime Bishop of Edmonton, now translated to the see of Christchurch, in the tikanga pakeha of the province of New Zealand.Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00324636915206892169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703933675593092725.post-9560361283511930492010-01-30T21:21:18.320-05:002010-01-30T21:21:18.320-05:00Who are you talking about in your first paragraph?...Who are you talking about in your first paragraph?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703933675593092725.post-47019507853815195492010-01-29T14:50:13.472-05:002010-01-29T14:50:13.472-05:00Indeed, going by diocese that is the case. I'm hoping to visit St Barnabas, St Catharine's, soon.

St Paul's, Dunnville, lost its last (SSC) rector to the Diocese of Gibraltar (nice work if you can get it!) and things like the rosary seem to have been discontinued.
