The organ arrangement is magnificent, and the handbell accompaniment is just right- it accents, while being heard, but not overpowering. Awesome.(Good Methodists, though, don't position their choirs in front of their altars.) :-)Probably the best arrangement of this hymn I've heard.
Indeed! Though the opening trumpet scared my cat. It could only be better if the acoustics weren't so dead.It's certainly the best I've heard.
I thought the setting of the hymn banal and the whole thing horrid, not a "procession" at all. No accounting for taste but Geoff's is usually better.
I tell you, you just gotta love that hymn. It always sends chills up my spine.
