Thinking Anglicans tells us that Bishop Victoria Matthews has been elected bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand, subject to confirmation by the House of Bishops and General Synod. Didn't see that one coming.
New Zealand's gain will certainly be our loss here in Canada! I'm sure that she would have been our Primate but for the lobby in favour of blessing same-sex marriages - again an example of how the church can defeat the work of God!

Well, you know, I was talking with Mrs. Daley about this and we both agreed:
New Zealand is absolutely breathtaking...why the hell wouldn't she go?! I know I would.
