The Deaconess in the second picture used to go to the Youth Pilgrimage back when I was still an Anglican and had been doing so since about 2001. She also plays the guitar and is a very good singer :)
There was always a female deacon at the bishop of Beverley's chrism mass each year. She would renew her vows but would never vest or serve. Presumably, some others present would have struggled with that. Historically, the order of deaconess does appear to have been something not the same as the male diaconate, so I do understand the reservations.
